Tomb of Anubis
Deep underground lies the sanctuary of Anubis, guardian of tombs. We are planning 25 paylines, sticky Anubis wilds, cascading falling stones and a Crypt Wild. The game is not playable yet, and its features may change before release.
Down into the sanctuary of Anubis
Tomb of Anubis is the next chapter we are preparing for the temple. Treasures of Horus is full of sunlight and Pharaoh’s Tomb glitters with gold; this game is planned to lead underground, into the sanctuary of the jackal-headed god who, in Egyptian myth, guarded the tombs and guided the souls of the dead. Tradition also places him beside the scales where a heart was weighed against the feather of truth.
We imagine a quieter, darker mood: stone crypts, carved walls and treasures that have waited in the dark for centuries. On the reels, Anubis himself takes the lead. The current plan includes 25 paylines and sticky Anubis wilds that hold their place until a winning streak ends. Wins are planned to set off falling stones, a cascade in which winning symbols crumble away and new ones drop into the gaps. A special Crypt Wild is in the plans as well.
Everything on this page describes work in progress. Features, rules and numbers may change before release, and we will publish the full rules and paytable when the game opens. Until then, Tomb of Anubis cannot be played.
Like everything on Horus Games, it will be free, with virtual coins and nothing to buy.
What we are planning
An underground sanctuary
The planned setting is a sanctuary deep underground: stone crypts and carved walls where Anubis, guardian of the dead, watches over ancient treasures.
25 paylines
The game is planned with 25 paylines. Bets, pays and the exact layout of the reels are not final yet and will be announced at release.
Sticky Anubis wilds
Anubis wilds are planned to stick to the reels and stay in place until the winning streak ends, instead of vanishing after a single win.
Falling stones and Crypt Wild
Winning symbols are planned to crumble as falling stones, making room for new ones to drop in. A special Crypt Wild is planned too. All of this may change.
Planned gameplay, step by step
- As in our other games, you will choose a bet and spin; the plan is a line game with 25 paylines.
- Watch the Anubis wilds: in the current plan, they stick to the reels and stay put until your winning streak ends.
- After a win, falling stones are planned to clear the winning symbols and let new ones drop into their place.
- Look out for the Crypt Wild, a special symbol planned for this game; its exact role will be explained at release.
- Bets, rules and the paytable will be published when the game opens, and any part of this plan may still change.
Symbols and payouts
The symbols, pays and rules of Tomb of Anubis are not final yet. We will publish the full paytable when the game is released; until then, every planned feature on this page may change.
Frequently asked questions
When will Tomb of Anubis open?
We are not announcing a release date yet. The game is marked as coming soon in the lobby and on this page; its full rules and paytable will be published when it opens.
What are sticky Anubis wilds?
In the current plan, Anubis wild symbols stick to the reels and stay there until the winning streak ends, instead of disappearing after one win. Like every feature described here, this may change before release.
How will the falling stones work?
Falling stones are planned cascades: after a win, the winning symbols crumble away and new ones fall into the empty places. A Crypt Wild is planned as well; its exact role will be explained with the final rules.
Can I play it already?
Not yet: the Tomb of Anubis card in the lobby shows only the plans. Meanwhile, Treasures of Horus and Pharaoh’s Tomb are open and share one balance of free virtual coins, with nothing to buy and nothing to cash out.
Until the crypt opens
