THE SHAFT
A survival horror game in a concrete shaft fifty-one floors deep. Once a day a platform of food comes down and stops at your floor for exactly twelve seconds.
THE SHAFT Eat. Survive. Repeat.
THE SHAFT is a first-person survival horror game. You wake in a concrete cell on a random floor of fifty-one: no windows, no doors, only a square drop into the shaft and a tally of days scratched above the bed. The floor number is on the wall somewhere.
Once a day a concrete slab of food comes down. It stops at your floor for twelve seconds and leaves, ready or not. Up top a feast arrives; at the bottom, bones, crumbs and colder air. Hunger, fatigue and health drag each other down: sleep exhausted and you wake too groggy to eat. Up top you can afford two mistakes. At the bottom, none.
Lamps hum and flicker, lit floors fade into the haze, and somewhere someone screams. Hunger drains the colour from the world; worn out, you hear whispers, though no one is there. Death ends the run, and the next begins on a new floor.
This is a presentation page: the game itself does not run on this site.
