Hansel and Gretel
A dark Brothers Grimm fairy tale painted like an old-master canvas. Hansel is sure he can lead his sister out of trouble, but it is Gretel who finds the way.
Hansel and Gretel The Sugar Trap
This is a dark fairy-tale adventure with puzzles, after the Brothers Grimm. In the woodcutter’s cottage food has nearly run out: the father whittles in silence, the stepmother counts what is left. Hansel is sure he can always lead his sister out of trouble, but one by one his tricks fail, and more and more often Gretel finds the way.
You take turns as brother and sister and give your partner simple commands: hold, wait, help, pass it here. Chapter one of ten, The Last Light in the Window, is ready: at night the children overhear a plan to leave them in the forest and must creep down the creaking stairs, open the sagging door and gather white pebbles that will show under the moon.
Every frame looks like a Bruegel or a van Ostade, and you see the cottage like a doll’s house, through a missing wall. The fear comes from staging, not from blood.
This is a presentation page: the game itself does not run on this site.
